Reuben are a three-piece rock/metal band from Camberley in the United Kingdom. They formed in 1998 and singer Jamie Lenman and bassist Jon Pearce originally played with Jason Wilcock as Angel, sharing a local venue stage with other bands, one of which would become Hundred Reasons. During 1999, they recorded a Demo named "betrayed"; it was recorded at Surrey University. The Recordings are on the band's website; they were released so that fans would not receive any bootleg or bad-quality recordings. "Angel" were fundamentaly Reuben as the only difference was the drummer. Some of the material released by "Angel" (namely "Death of a Star" and "Glitterskin") was included in the Pilot EP under the new name Reuben. In March 2000, they parted ways with Jason, and Mark Lawton joined as drummer, with whom they wrote and recorded the Pilot EP, which was released in January 2001, after they changed their name to Reuben.
