Formally known as Letter Twelve, Terminal signed to Tooth & Nail Records in 2004. There is some Christian influence to Terminal's emotionally driven music. Many have said that Terminal sounds much like that of Jimmy Eat World, Further Seems Forever, and Recover. Terminal’s style is intense at times, but a softer side can also be seen in many of the acoustic sections of their songs.
The band's first, and only, release was entitled How The Lonely Keep, a twelve track CD that would make the band stand out on their label. Even though they were bound for success, the band reached the terminal point in its career in early 2006. Due to widely disputed reasons, every member of the band departed save for lead singer, Travis Bryant. Following a short-lived attempt at recruiting new band members to keep Terminal alive (as well as a brief solo career spanning only a few months), Bryant joined Equal Vision Records band goodbyetomorrow on vocals.
