Everyday  Buddy Holly

Tuning: Standard
Buddy Holly and the Crickets
Everyday (1957)
(Buddy Holly/Norman Petty)
Now on: several Greatest Hits collections
One of my all time favourite songs. If you want to know what this tab sounds like,
check out my version here:
In the original version, solo and outro are played on a celeste (a keyboard
instrument sounding like a glockenspiel). For guitar, the solo looks
something like this:
SOLO (no capo: Eb)
(played two times)
[Eb] [Cm] [Ab] [Bb] [Eb] [Cm] [Ab] [Bb]

 e|11--------------|----------------|11--------------|----------------|

The song is in Eb, so I'd suggest using a capo either 1st fret (play: D) or
3rd fret (play: C). Even with capo you can still play the solo as it doesn't
go below the 8th fret.
Here's the first version:

UPDATE
In Holly's recording the bass sometimes suggests different chords. Even
though I like the version above better, the original seems to run along
the lines of:

[D]Goin' [Bm]faster [Em]than a roller [A]coaster

[D]Everyone said, [G]go ahead and [A]ask her
[D]Love like yours will[A] surely come my [D]way
[G] A-hey, [D]a-hey-[D(7)]hey
[G]Everyday seems a little longer
[C]Every way love's a little stronger
[F]Come what may, do you ever long for
[Bb]True love from [A]me
