The Only One  The Cure

*Note* This is what I heard, then played along with a live version, and then played
with the recorded version, being in perfect harmony both times. I still don't know how
this is, but it's a step up from all the others, which are just plain WRONG!
*Note* when played live, the song starts with an intro of strums in a pattern like this:
A A - E E E - F#m F#m F#m - D D D - A A A which then leads into the intro drum fill and
song starts as usual
Intro: A E F#m D A E D
Verse:
[A]Oh I love (Oh I love) Oh I [E]love
What you do to my [F#m]head
When you pull me up[D]stairs
And you push me to [A]bed.
I love what you [E]do to my head.
Itâ??s [D]a mess up there
Repeat for second verse, bridge, and third and fourth verses
Chorus:
Youâ??re th[G]e only one I cry for
The only one I try to [D]please.
Youâ??re th[G]e only one I sigh for
The only one I die to [D]squeeze.
And it gets [C]better everyday,
I play with you itâ??s such [D]a scream.
Yeah it gets [C]better everyday, I say
With you itâ??s s[D]o extreme.
Yeah it gets [C]wetter everyday, I stay
With you itâ??s like [D]a dream.
repeat verse three times
repeat chorus
[A]Oh I love, oh i love, oh I [E]love
What you do to me.
*Note* when played live, the E chord is replaced with repetive down strokes on all open
The line "Oh I love" is repeated several times in time with the strokes, each time
up into more of a shout, until the line "what you do to me", which is simply spoken.
