Vapor Trails Drew Kennedy
By Drew Kennedy
[G]Ten mile west of nowhere with [C]nowhere left to [G]go
[Em]Flat on my back as [C]airplanes track their [D]way out to the coast
[C]I donā??t know why the[D]y paint the sky with thei[Em]r vapor trails
Maybe if [C]all else fails they can follow them [D]home
And if they can why canā??[Em]t yo-[C]o-o-o-o-u
Take a [G]look up at the [D/F#]sky
You can [Em]cho-o-[C]ose from a [D]hundred lines
Thatā??s what Iā[Em]??d [C]do
If I [G]couldnā??t find m[D/F#]y way back home t[Em]o yo-o-o-[C]o-o-[D]u
I believe in angels but I donā??t believe in ghosts
Iā??d rather fly if Iā??m gonna die than haunt this house alone
If I were out there on a wing and prayer and I could see
Some of the wings Iā??d let them lead me back home.
And if I could why canā??t you
Take a look up at the sky
I would use any help that I could get
Thatā??s what Iā??d do
If I couldnā??t find my way back home to you, back home to you.
Back home to you, back home to you, back home to you.
