Almost Home  Hootie & the Blowfish

Here's a relatively easy song that I enjoy playing. In case you're
wondering where I got it from, it's found on the 'Let Her Cry' CD single.
I'm pretty sure that most of the chords and lyrics are correct. Any help,
improvements or comments appreciated.
Almost Home
Chords: C 332010

 E----------------------------------------------------------]

(Played with a swing beat)
[C] [F] [C] [F]
[C]Walking on the [F]water, in a [C]van[F]
[C]Trying to [Em]think of [Am]every[Em]thing I [G]can
But it's [F]getting very [G]late
And these [Em]tapes don't sound no [Am]good
And my [F]body, just don't feel the way I [G]wish it would
I was driving when I heard you call my name
It was not like before, not quite the same
It's to late to be much good
And I might as well confess
That I have not got the nerve to borrow cigarettes
Chorus:
[C]When I'm [Em]almost with you, [G]music tries to play
Whem I'm almost home, I almost hear you say
It'll be alright if we could run away
(Here, you can either play C F C F, or the following bass fill)

 E----------------------------------------------------------]
 B----------------------------------------------------------]
 G----------------------------------------------------------]
 D----------------------------------------------------------]
 A--3--3-----3--0----------------3--3-----3--0--------------]
 E--------3--------1--0--1-------------3--------1--0--1-----]

These silent things are all my life (???)
No one ever tells me when or why
Oh but my heart can't seem to tell me
What would satisfy my mind
So I jump into that van just one more time
Chorus (and Bass fill)
Solo (C Em Am G Am G Em Am F G)
I was driving when I heard you call my name
It was not like before, not quite the same
Oh but my heart can't seem to tell me
What would satisfy my mind
So I jump into that van just one more time
Chorus (Bass fill played twice)
