The Blizzard Judy Collins

I've looked everywhere for this song and can't find it, so I finally gave up and
figured it out myself. She usually plays it on piano, so I figured it out that way
first and then tried it on guitar to see if it still sounded OK. I think it works.
If I missed something, please let me know.
Capo I
[C]Colorado[G], Col[F]orado[C]
[C]When the w[F]orld leaves y[C]ou s[F]hivering
[F]And the blizzard [G]blows
[C]When the snow [G]flies [F]and the night [C]falls
There's a l[Am]ight in the window
And a p[F]lace called h[G]ome
[F]At the end of the [Am]storm
[Am]One night on the mountain I was headed for Estes
When the roads turned to ice and it [F]started to [G]snow
[Am]Put on the chains in a whirl of white powder
Halfway up to Berthoud near a d[F]iner I kno[G]w
[C]And the light burned inside, shining down through the snowfall
[G]God, it was cold, and the[F] temperature[G] droppin'
[C]Went in for coffee and I shivered as I drank it
[G]Warming my hands in the st[F]eam as it rose
[Am]Sitting there at the counter was a dark-headed stranger
[Am]Me and the owner and [F]him keeping [G]warm
[Am]Nodded hello and I said, "It's a cold one.
[Am]Looks like there might be a [F]blizzard ton[G]ight,"
And "[C]Yes," said the owner, "There's a big storm on the mountain.
[G]Good thing we're open; we could [F]be here for [G]hours.
[C]There's nothing for miles, and it's too late to get to Denver.
[G]Better not try for the [F]summit ton[G]ight."
[C]And the snow [G]fell
[F]And the night [C]passed
[C]And I t[F]alked to the s[Am]trangers
[Am]As the [F]blizzard [G]ble[Am]w
[Am]Me and the stranger, you know I don't talk to strangers
I'm a private sort of person, but a [F]blizzard is a [G]blizzard
And [Am]somehow I found myself saying you'd left me
Telling him everything I [F]wanted to [G]say to you.
You [C]know how it is when you can talk to a stranger
[G]Someone you're quite sure [F]you'll never see [G]again
[C]Soon we were talkin' and laughin' and drinkin'.
He said, "[G]You must know you're t[F]oo good for h[G]im."
[C]And the snow [G]fell
[F]And the night [C]passed
[C]And I t[F]alked to the s[Am]trangers
[Am]And the [F]blizzard [G]ble[Am]w
[Am]The stranger said, "Love, it can cry you a river.
[Am]Me, I'm a loner, 'cause I[F] can't take the[G] heartache.
[Am]Sometimes I'm a fighter when I get too much whiskey.
[Am]Here, have a little whiskey; pre[F]tend you don't [G]give a damn.
[C]My cabin's up here on the side of the mountain.
[G]You can go up there and [F]sleep through the [G]blizzard."
[C]I put on my parka, said goodbye to the owner,
[G]Followed the stranger through the [F]snow up the [C]mountainside.
[Am]Woke in the morning to the sun on the snow
[Am]My car was buried in [F]six feet of [G]snowdrift
[Am]They dug me out, just the owner and the stranger
[Am]Sent me on my way when the [F]snowplow had [G]been by
And the [C]roads were all clear, and the sun on the mountains
[G]Sparkled like diamonds on the [F]Peak-to-Peak [G]Highway
[C]Then I knew that I would get over you
[Dm]Knew you could leave me,[G] but you'd never break[C] me
[C]Colorado[G], Col[F]orado[C]
[C]When the w[F]orld leaves y[C]ou s[F]hivering
And the blizzard [G]blows
[C]When the snow [G]flies [F]and the night [C]falls
There's a l[F]ight in the window
And a p[Dm]lace called h[G]ome
At the [F]end of the [C]storm
