Mr. Tambourine Man  Stevie Wonder

Written by Bob Dylan. This is legend, Stevie Wonder's version.
Like Glen Campbell, Stevie Wonder recorded a version of 'Mr. Tambourine Man'
sounding exactly like The Byrds' version except Stevie Wonder uses words, Glen Campbell doesn't.
Intro:
[D] [G] [A]
Chorus:
[G]Hey! Mister [A]Tambourine Man, [D]play a song for [G]me.
I'm not [D]sleepy and there [G]is no [Em]place I'm [A]going to.
[G]Hey! Mister [A]Tambourine Man, [D]play a song for [G]me.
In the [D]jingle jangle [G]morning [Em]I'll come [A]following [D]you.[G] [D]
Though I [G]know that evenin's [A]empire has [D]returned into the [G]sand.
[D]Vanished from my [G]hand, left me [D]blindly here to [G]stand
but [Em]still not [A]sleeping!
My [G]weariness a[A]mazes me, I'm [D]branded on my [G]feet I [D]have no one to [G]meet.
And the [D]ancient empty [G]street's too [Em]dead for [A]dreaming.
Chorus
Take me on a t[G]rip upon your m[A]agic sw[D]irlin' s[G]hip
[D]My senses have been [G]stripped, my h[D]ands can't feel the g[G]rip,
my toes too numb to step, wa[Em]it only for my boot heels
to be wand[A]ering
I'm ready to go[G] anywhere, I'[A]m r[D]eady f[G]or [D]to f[G]ade
Into my own p[D]arade cast your d[G]ancing [Em]spell my [A]way,
I [D]promise to [G]go u[Em]nder i[A]t
Chorus
Though you might hear [G]laughin' s[A]pinnin' swin[D]gin' madly across the s[G]un
It's not aim[D]ed at an[G]yone, it's just e[D]scapin' on the[G] run
[Em]And but for the sky there are no fences facin'
[A]And if you hear vague traces of skippin' reels of rhyme
To your t[G]ambourine in[A] time, it's ju[D]st a ragged[G] clown[D] behin[G]d
I wou[D]ldn't pay it any min[G]d, it's just a sh[Em]adow y[A]ou're
[D]seein' tha[G]t h[Em]e's ch[A]asing
Chorus
Then take me d[G]issapearin' through the[A] smoke rings of m[D]y mi[G]nd
Down the f[D]oggy ruins of time, fa[G]r past the fr[D]ozen lea[G]ves
[Em]The haunted, frightended trees out to the windy beach
[A]Far from the twisted reach of crazy sorrow
[G]Yes, to dance b[A]eneath the dia[D]mond sky with [G]one hand w[D]avin' fr[G]ee
Sil[D]houetted by the sea, ci[G]rcled by the c[Em]ircus sa[A]nds
[D]With all memory and fate driv[G]e deep b[Em]eneath the wa[A]ves
Let me for[D]get about to[G]day un[Em]til tom[A]orrow
Enjoy!
