1904  The Tallest Man on Earth

 -----------------------------------------------------------------------------

1904 - Tallest Man on Earth

 -----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Tuning: EADGBd w/ CAPO IV
This tab is based off Macheeoo's which sounds great but is not 100% accurate.
After watching how Matson played it (see link below), this is what I came up
with. Tune high e string down to d and put capo on 4th fret. Enjoy!
Note on strumming:
normal strumming = down, down, up, up, down, up (or whatever, listen to the song)
paused strumming = down, down, down, up, pause and let ring
G G* C/G C C* D D* Am Am* Bm Em

Intro: G C G C (paused strumming...)
G(G*) C(C*) Am(Am*) D(D*) x2 (...into normal strumming)
G (G*) C/G
Well some may say it's not even funny
Am (Am*) D (D*)
And there you stand not even trying
G (G*) C/G
They say it is in line with the ages
Am (Am*) D (D*)
Sometimes noise is just your mind
C/G G* D (D*)
But the lesson is vague in the light now
C/G G* D (D*)
Shows a deer with her mind on the moor
And now s[G]omething with the sun is just [C/G]different
Since they [Am]shook the earth in [D]1904[G]
G(G*) C(C*) Am(Am*) D(D*)
G C/G (paused strumming)
And as I lowered down I hear it's a message
Am (Am*) D (D*) (back to normal on Am)
And it's 1902 just telling people to get out
And if t[G]here was just a way I could t[C/G]ell them
Am (Am*) D (D*)
It's been long but you are right
C/G G* D (D*)
And the singing is slow and so quiet
C/G G* D (D*)
Like the sound when you sweep up the floor
And now so[G]mething with the dirt is just [C/G]different
Since they [Am]shook the earth in [D]1904[G]
G(G*) C(C*) Am(Am*) D(D*) x2
Bm C* (C/G)
And when the night is young but the bridge is up
Em D (D*)
Something passing by, I was sure
Bm C* (C/G)
And the only one you can tell it to
Em D (D*)
Well it's the only one that ever knows
G C/G (paused strumming)
And since more robbers made to go through my window
Am (Am*) D (D*) (back to normal on Am)
Here is something so strange and something louder than before
G (G*) C/G
And you're living with no light or direction
Am (Am*) D (D*)
But damn precise and now you know
C/G G* D (D*)
When believing is hard but you go now
C/G G* D (D*)
And you feel what you drag across the floor
Because so[G]mething with these drills are just [C/G]different
Since they s[Am]hook the earth in [D]1904[G]
G(G*) C(C*) Am(Am*) D(D*) x2
Bm C* (C/G)
And when the night is young but the bridge is up
Em D (D*)
Something passing by, I was sure
Bm C* (C/G)
And the only one you can tell it to
Em D (D*)
Well it's the only one that ever knows
G C/G (paused strumming)
And some will say it's not even healthy
But body is [Am]young and mind is s[D]ure
That so[G]mething is alright with your t[C/G]hinking
Since they [Am]shook the earth in [D]1904[G]
