All Alone  Animal Liberation Orchestra

ALO are a great band and this is a great song from their album 'Roses & Clover'
A lot of the chords are done on piano and synth with a few chords on electric guitar.
I would strongly recommend their albums.
[Dm] [A] [F] [G] [B] [A] [Dm] [A] [Dm]
Verse 1:
Standing on the stage struggling to get his instrument in tune
People throwing vegetables and calling him a fraud as they fall out of the room
He awakes[Dm] at night [A]with the fear[F] [G]
That this all mi[Dm]ght just d[A]isappear[F] [G]
But it scares h[Dm]im just[A] the same[F] [G]
To th[Bm]ink that this could all rem[A]ain
Understanding wh[Dm]y we [A]do what we do[F]
[G]Why we put oursel[Dm]ves what w[A]e put ourselves through
[F]When the[G]re's no longer com[Dm]fort in y[A]our comfort z[F]one
You feel[F] like you're all al[A]one
Self-absorption, never ending
Steals the truth, it keeps on bending
Feel like I'm pretending to be something that I'm not
I've got to smooth it like Al Green
Be Funky like JB
Then stand up on my own two feet and learn how to be me
I'm contradicting m[Dm]yself
I'm stealing f[B]rom the past
I'm trying to s[Dm]low it down because it feels like i[B]t's too fast
And I'm awaking w[Dm]ith the fear
That this all might d[B]isappear
But it sc[F]ares me just the same to think that th[A]is
Could all remain
