Verse 1:
[G]I could try you with a waltz
[Em]I could try you rock and roll
[D]I could try you with the blues
[Am] If a song would do
[G]I could sing it high or low
[Em]When I let you go you know
I [D]thought it was [C]for the best
[D]Now it is so [C]obvious
So [G]here it is, here it [D]goes
[Em]I could try rock and [G/B]roll
I would [C9]change your
life for[G/B]ever too
[Am]If a song could [D]get me you
[G]I could make it high or [D]low
[Em]Sing it on the ra[G/B]dio
If [C9]that is what I [G/B]need to do
Eb(hold) D7(hold)
If a song could get me you
Verse 2:
[G]I could run for miles and miles
[Em]I'd take off and I'd start flying
[D]I could cross land and sea
[Am] If you just believe me
[G]I should not have hurt you so
[Em]This old house is not a home
With[D]out you here, [C]there's no use
I've [D]got no time [C]left to lose
(Repeat Chorus)
[C]If a song could [G/B]get me through
I'd [Am]sing my way, right [G]back to [Em]you
[C]Tell me how, to [G/B]make it right
[Am]Tell me now, I'll s[G/B]tart tonight
I [C]know I could [G/B]make it last
I [D]swear to you that [C]if I knew
What I [G/B]was getting my[Em]self into
I [Am]wouldn't answer to my fears
I'd [C]never leave you s[D7]tanding there
Verse 3:
Just [C]look at me[G/B]
[C] If you'd only see me
[G]I would prove my love for you
[Em]I could swallow half the moon
Just [D]tell me where, [C]tell me when
[D]I will have you [C]back again
(Repeat Chorus twice)

You can play C instead of C9 and G instead of G/B. I think that´s easier and it sounds better...
