Sigh No More Mumford & Sons
So after picking around in a tuning for another Mumford and Sons song, Little Lion
Man, I realized that this song was also in that tuning. So I figured it out. Its
really easy and the tuning is gorgeous, IMO.
It's EACGCE (reading left to right thats Low E to High E)
Tune the B up a half step to C and the D down a full step to C.
Chords used:
Am F G C C(alt) B/C*
E|---0-----0-----0-----0-----0-----0-----| C|---0-----0-----0-----0-----0-----0-----| G|---2-----0-----0-----0-----0-----0-----| C|---0-----0-----0-----0-----0-----0-----| A|---0-----3-----5-----3-----10----10----| E|---X-----1-----3-----X-----8-----7-----|
Intro/verse
Take the first C chord and do this
E|--------------------| C|--------4-----2-----| G|--------0-----0-----| C|--------------------| A|-----3-----3-----3--| E|--------------------|
Alternate between the low note hit on the A and going down
from the 4th fret to the 2nd fret on the 2nd string (the B tuned to
a C. Then when the second part of the verse starts it goes
to the Am and hit the A string open and the 2nd string on the
2nd fret. And then go to the C and just hit the A on the 3rd fret
and hit the 2nd string and the 3rd string open, at the same time.
