This is a chord representation of the song. There are several solos that I
will not be tabbing, it is sixteen minutes long. This should give you the
basic gist of the song. If anyone has the tab for the whole song send it
to Harmony Central and add it to the Oingo Boingo section of tab.
Verse 1
[C#4]Don't you ever wonder why [B3] [B3] [C#4]nothing ever s[F#3]eems to change?
[E3]if it does it's for the worst seems it's just a [G#3]modern curse
[C#4]Sometimes when I take a pee[B3]k [B3] [C#4]outside of my [F#3]little cage
[E3]everyone looks so asleep, will they die be[G#3]fore they wake and
Pre-Chorus
[A3]hey... don't ya know? [C#4]we're just products [G#3]of our time and
[A3]hey... whaddya say? [C#4]show me yours i'll [G#3]show you mine...
Verse 2
[C#4]Better dumb and happy than [B3] [B3] [C#4]smart and without [F#3]any friends
[E3]better cute and better loud better join up [G#3]with the crowd
[C#4]Keep up or be left behind [B3] [B3] [C#4]there's a dust storm [F#3]in my mind
[E3]seems I can't see straight these days doesn't matter [G#3]anyway and
Pre-Chorus
[A3]hey... don't you know? [C#4]we're just products [G#3]of our time and
[A3]hey... whaddya say? [C#4]show me yours I'll [G#3]show you mine...
[A3]hey... whaddya say? [F#3]hey... whaddya say?
[E3]please don't ever...
Chorus
[C#4]oh god here's [B3]tha[B3]t q[C#]uestion now[F4] [F4]
[C#4]the one that m[B3]ake[B3]s m[C#]e go insane[F4] [F4]
[C#4]I'd gladly tea[B3]r m[B3]y h[C#]eart out[F4] [F4]
[C#4]if you would never, ne[B3]ver[B3], n[C#]ever, never[F4] [F4] change...
Just to clarfiy, the octave number given are simply to show relativity. (ie,
between F#3 and F4), as the song is played on the lowest octave on the guitar.
This small riff is used throughout the song and can be used for the slowed
down tempo in the interlude section of the song. Good basis for the solos.
