I can promise that this is 100% correct (well, let's say 99%). I found a video
of David Bazan playing this song that was shot very close so I could verify the
notes/chords. So, this is at least how he played it in that video, though I
know he varies a lot of his songs so I'm sure he also plays this in other ways.

Intro repeated 4 times. Note: I'll often drop the note on the G string (an E)
on the first chord as it's awkward for me to play, and it still sounds fine
