What a Shame Shinedown
I noticed the other person had it really off. I think it was because they were tuned
half a step. So I just took their chords, added a Capo on the 1st fret, and messed with one
the chords then just wrote the rest out. It doesn't sound exactly perfect but it sounds
than the other guys if you ask me.
Try playing it on Electric if you want, I sounded it all out on my Acoustic. Hope you enjoy!

Capo 1
[Em] Two packs of cigarettes a day
[G] The strongest whiskey Kentucky can make
[A5] That's the recipe to put a v[C]agabond on his hands and knees
[Em] I watched it all up close, I knew it more than [G]most
I [G]saw a side of him I could never [A5]show
[A5] For the sympathy, for a [C]world that wouldn't let him be
[Em] That's the man he was
[G] Have you heard enough
Chorus:
[G] What a [C]shame, what a [G]shame to judge a [C]lif[G]e that you can't change
[G]The choir [C]sings the church bells [G]ring
So won't you [C]give this man his [G]wings
[G]What a [C]shame to have to [G]beg you to see [C]we[G]'re no[C]t all the same
[C]What a [Em]shame
Em--G--C(x2)
There's a har[Em]d life for every silver spoon,
There's a [G]touch of gray for every shade of blue
[A5] That's the way that I see life
If there was [C]nothing wrong then there'd be nothing right
[Em] And for this working man, they said could barely [G]stand
There's got to be a better place to [A5]land
[A5]Some kind of remedy, [C]for a world that wouldn't let him be
[Em]That's the man he was
[G]Have you heard enough
Chorus
[Em-G]
[Em-C]
[Em-G]
[Em-C]
Bridge:
[Em]God forgive the [A5]hands that laid you [G]down
[C]They never knew how, [Em]but your broken
[A5]Heart can break the [G]sound
[C]And change the season
[Em]Now the leaves are [A5]falling faster,
[G]Happily [C]ever after
[Em]You gave me hope through [A5]your endeavors
And now [G]you will live for[C]ever
Chorus
[G]What a [C]shame, what a [G]shame
Cause [C]we're not all the [G]same
[G]What a [C]shame, what a [G]shame
Cause [C]we're not all the [Em]same
*let Em ring out, stroke once*
[-End-]
