Twenty Two The Good Life
[G]"bon voya[Bm]ge" [Em]was something that i once said[Bm]
and event[Bb]ually regrett[G]ed.
well, it?s come up ag[Bm]ain...and i wonder if[Em]
the sa[Bm]me mistakes i used [Bb]to make
could be [Am]remade.
cause "i've been through this before" well i'[G]ve said that too.
there's jus[C]t so much that we can fake
before we break ourselves into-two.[Bm] [Bb]
[G]twenty tw[Bm]o. [Em]the years can hardly catch up[Bm]
with the year[Bb]s of playing catch up.[G]
must there always b[C]e a catch?[Em]
what we really[Bm] want is just ahe[Bb]ad,
just o[Am]ver that hill.
and the more i learn, the less i try to climb.[Em]
the mor[C]e we change, the more we wish
we stayed the same the more we try to fake ourselves into [Bm]beliefs:
"the gr[Bb]ass must be green somewhere!"
[G] [C] [Em] [Bm] [Bb]
[G] [C] [Em] [Bm] [Bb] [Am]
twenty two[Em]-th[C]e years can hardly catch up,[Bm]
the yea[Bb]rs are playing catch up[Am].
must there always [Em]be a catch?[C]
