Beady Eyes on the Horizon  Jukebox the Ghost

My favourite song by my favourite band - I *think* this is almost correct.
Standard tuning, no capo. Please forgive any lyrical errors!
All chords should really be played as barre chords, but let's face it, those are
uncomfortable and are really only necessary when a Cm or Gsus4 chord is coming up.
__________
G - 320033/355433
Bm - x24432
C - x32010/x35553
Em - 022000
Cm - x35543
[Gsus4] [-] [355533]
There's a [G]dead man hanging,[Bm]
[C]slumped over the steering wheel
of an [G]interstate runaway [Bm]bursting into [C]flames.
And the [G]devil was gently breath[Bm]ing,
sleeping f[C]ace-down in my apartment,
and like [G]all his friends I'm growing [Bm]tired of his ga[C]mes.
And there's a homeless [G]man arranging his h[Bm]ands,
grooving to the [Em]beat radiating from a [C]police scanner.
He said "The [G]air was feeling [Bm]good to me,
as [Em]cool and ripe as [C]air can be."
And a [G]woman who sincerely [Bm]believes
in UF[Em]Os (UFOs) - you can blame her when the [C] stars are hanging
over[G]head, dangling by a [Bm]thread,
floating [Em]ten thousand feet off the [Cm]ground.
This was the [G]story told to me [Bm]
when [Em]I was just the age of [C]seventeen;
one which [G]God himself dic[Bm]tated to me,
C (staccato)
He said, "This is how all this shit's gonna be,
when I [G]blow your little planet into [Bm]smithereens (smithereens) [Em] [C]
[G]Blow your little planet into [Bm]smithereens"[Em] [C]
It [G]haunted my dreams [Bm]
like an [Em]accident on [C]replay
on a [G]TV screen.[Bm] [Em] [C]
[Cm]She sees [G]faces in her dreams;
[Em]strange machines she'd never seen.
[G]Blueprints of submarines
to rea[Em]ssemble in a time of dire need (dire need).

And there were [G]preachers in the desert,
[Em]waving to the crowd,
dictating [G]seven angry letters
from a [Em]man up in the clouds
And there were [G]twenty-seven soldiers
telling [Bm]twenty-seven lies,
and a h[Em]ole inside a hurricane
with a [Cm]pair of beady eyes.
A pair of [G]beady eyes [Gsus4]looking down
[Em]onto the pavement while the [Cm]stars are gathered 'round.
Because they all[G] want a front seat when [Gsus4]shit starts going down,
Em C (staccato) Cm-Cm
because the Sun is just a supernova turned the other way around!
[G] [Bm] [C]
[G] [Bm] [C]
There were [G]strangers in the subway and [Bm]men in limousines
making [C]deals and swapping photographs of cans of gasoline.
There are no [G]angels in the woodwork or [Bm]devils on the ground;
They're [C]looking through a hurricane's tectonic wall of sound.
And the [G]man who smokes his cigarettes the [Bm]other way around
she's [C]looking in behind him from inside a wall of sound
and she is [G]dancing with the neon 'cause the [Bm]air is feeling good
against her [C]arms and legs and fingertips are [Cm]measuring the distance
in the [G]spaces in between me and [Bm]you and all your friends;
and there's no [C]time to load a weapon; no [Cm]time to make amends.
And people [G]frozen in their tracks stand [Bm]staring at the sky,
at a [C]hole inside a hurricane [Cm]revealing...
[Cm]A pair of beady eyes!
A pair of [G]beady eyes [Gsus4]looking down
[Em]onto the pavement while the [C]stars are gathered 'round.
Because they [G]all want a front seat when [Bm]shit starts going down,
because the [Em]sun is just a supernova turned the [Cm]other way around!
G (crazy piano solo)
[G]This is not a test, this is the real thing... [Cm-Cm]
[G]This is not a test, this is the [Cm]real thing.
