Get Lucky  Mark Knopfler

Another user did a pretty good job of tabbing this song, but I found that a few of his
notes were off. The key is to keep the bass line with your thumb during the intro. Sorry
for the messy tab, it's my first one.
Capo: 4
( ) indicates a ghost note, or a note that is played quieter than the others. Listen to
the song for the exact rhythm on the intro.

I[G] am better with my muscles
Than I am with my mouth
I work the fair gr[G7]ounds in the sum[C/G]mer
Or go pick fruit down south[G]
And wh[G]en I feel them chilly winds
Where the weather goes I'll follow
P[G7]ack up my tr[C]avelling things
Go with the sw[G]allows
And I might get L[D/F#]ucky now and then[D/F#] [D7/F#]
You w[G]in some[G/C]
I might get l[Am]ucky now and then[Am7] [C]
You w[G]in some[C/G] [C/G]
| G | C/G | C/G | C/G |
| G | C/G | C/G | C/G |
| G | C/G | C/G | C/G |
I w[G]ake up every morning
( Tab from: http://www.guitartabs.cc/tabs/m/mark_knopfler/get_lucky_crd.html )
Keep an eye on what I spend
[G7]Got to think about ea[C/G]ting
Got to think about paying the r[G]ent
I always think it's funny
It gets me every time
That o[G7]ne about happiness and m[C/G]oney?
Tell it to the breadl[G]ine
But you might get L[D/F#]ucky now and then[D/F#] [D7/F#]
You w[G]in some[C]
You might get L[Am]ucky now and then[Am7] [C]
Yeah you w[G]in some[C/G] [G] [G]
(solo):

Now I'm a r[Bm]ambling through this meadow
H[Em]appy as a man can be[Em7]
T[C]hink I'll just la[G]y me down[D/F#]
Under this old tree[D7/F#]
[G]On and on we go
Through this old world a shuffling
I[G7]f you've got a truffle d[C]og
You can go truffli[G]ng
And you might get L[D/F#]ucky now and then[D/F#] [D7/F#]
You w[G]in some[C]
You might get L[Am]ucky now and then[Am7] [C]
Yeah you w[G]in some[C/G] [C/G]
(end on G)
