I Felt Your Shape  The Microphones

There were no chords up for this song, so I had to go on youtube and check out a ukelele
version of this song and copy the chords they had listed there to guitar. It came out
really well though. I play this song with a Capo on 5, you can adjust the capo to fit
your vocal range, or transpose it accordingly.
Standard Tuning (EADGBE)
F (XX3211) (I prefer the small F for this song, full/big F sounds fine too)
Am (X02210)
Dm (XX0231)
G (320003)
C (X32010)
The Microphones
I Felt Your Shape (Capo on 5)
I thought I [F]felt your shape but I was [Am]wrong
Really [Dm]all I felt was false[G]ly strong
I held on [F]tight and closed my [Am]eyes
It was [Dm]dumb I had no sense of your [G]size
It was [Am]dumb to hold so [G]tight
La da d[F]a But last [C]night
On your [F]birthday in the [Am]kitchen
My grip was [Dm]loose my eyes were [G]open
I felt your [Am]shape and heard you [F]breathing
I felt the [Dm]rise and fall of your [G]chest
I felt your [Am]fall, your winter [G]snows
Your gusty [F]blows, your lava [C]flows
I felt it [Am]all, your starry [G]night
Your lack of [F]light, with [C]limp arms
I could feel [Am]most of you
I hung a[Am]round your neck i[G]ndependently
And my [F]loss was over[Am]whelmed
By this new [Dm]depth I don't think I[G]'ve ever felt
But I don't [Am]know, my nights are [F]cold
I remember [Am]warmth, I would have [G]sworn
F (optional ending ... Am - Dm - G -
[C]I [)]wasn't alone
