Hi, I hope this helps! sounds great to me!
First, put the guitar in drop d, where the low e string is lowered a full step to d.
Then, capo 8.
There are only 2 "chords":
The first is this, called Dsus2:
E---0
[B---3]
[G---2]D---0
A---0
D---0
The other is just a C:
E---0
[B---1]G---0
[D---2]
[A---3]D---0
In both of these chords, you can strum all 6 strings, since the guitar is now in drop d.
for finger positioning, I play a normal C, and when i transfer to Dsus2 again, I put my
middle finger on the G string and my ring on the B, so you just can slide up and down
instead of across the neck of the guitar.
now, to add your own little "spice" to the song, you can change up the chords. For
example, in the Dsus2, you can add on your pinkie to the high E string on the 3rd fret
(called Dsus4), take it off, then maybe add it to the G string 5th fret or something
like that. For the C chord, you can remove your fore finger from the B string, and fiddle with
that. Also applying to this chord, you can put your pinkie on the high E string on the
3rd fret, just like on the Dsus2.
And here is the song:
[Dsus2]It's like I'm falling out of bed From a [C]long, weary dream
[Dsus2]The sweetest flowers and fruits hang [C]from the trees
[Dsus2]Falling off the giant bird that's been [C]carrying me
[Dsus2]It's like I'm falling out of bed From a [C]long and weary dream
Just [Dsus2]exactly as I [C]remember
Every [Dsus2]root Every [C]gesture
I'm a [Dsus2]heart in cold [C]ground
[Dsus2]Like I'm falling out of bed From a [C]long and weary dream
[Dsus2]Finally I'm free of all the [C]weight I've been carrying
As my [Dsus2]woman blows her [C]cover
In the [Dsus2]eye of the be[C]holder
I'm a [Dsus2]fish now out of [C]water
[Dsus2]Falling off a giant bird that's [C]been carrying me
I fell [Dsus2]open I laid [C]under
At the [Dsus2]tip count I was just a [C]number
I want to [Dsus2]tip it over And lay back [C]under
[Dsus2]And if you think this is over Then you're [C]wrong (x3)
[Dsus2](Wake me up, wake me [C]up)
If you think this is over
Then you're wrong
(Wake me up, wake me up)
[Dsus2]Like I'm falling out of bed From a [C]long, weary dream
[Dsus2]The sweetest flowers and fruits hang [C]from the trees
[Dsus2]When I ask you [C]again (x2)
[Dsus2]Wake me up, Wake me [C]up (xbajillion)
