Valerie The Zutons
Hi i thought i would post an easier version of this song, so that maybe beginners could
this easier, so i worked out the best way to make the chords simpler this is by using a
on the first fret. All chords are relative to capo on the first fret.
CAPO 1
1st Verse
Well some[D]times I go out, by myself
And I look across the wa[Em]ter,
And I thi[D]nk of all the things, what you're doing
And in my head I make a [Em]picture
Chorus 1:
Cos s[G]ince I've come on home,
Well my b[F#m]ody's been a mess
And I[G]'ve missed your ginger hair
And the w[F#m]ay you like to dress
Won't[G] you come on over
[F#m]Stop making a fool out of[A] me...
Why won't you come on over Val[D]erie?
[Em]Valerie?
2nd Verse
Did you h[D]ave to go to jail,
Put your house up on for[Em] sale, did you get a good lawyer?
I hope yo[D]u didn't catch a tan,
I hope you'll find the r[Em]ight man who'll fix it for ya
And are y[D]ou shoppin' anywhere,
Changed the colour of yo[Em]u hair, are you busy?
And did y[D]ou have to pay the fine
You were dodging all the[Em] time, are you still dizzy?
Chorus 2:
Cos s[G]ince I've come on home,
Well my b[F#m]ody's been a mess
And I[G]'ve missed your ginger hair
And the w[F#m]ay you like to dress
Won't[G] you come on over
[F#m]Stop making a fool out of[A] me...
Why won't you come on over Val[D]erie?
[Em]Valerie?
[D]Valerie?
[Em]Valerie?
Vocal Section:
Well sometimes I go out by myself
And I look across the water
And I think of all the things, what you're doing
And in my head I make a picture
(you can play the verse chords for this in a simple single strum pattern)
Hope this is all very easy for you, it is good for jamming and playing along.
