Artist: Blind Melon
Song: All That I Need

Date: Thu, 13 Nov 1997 15:07:18 -0500 (EST)

	Hello, this is pretty much exact tab for this beautiful song off
the album Nico:

	      D       D&Dsus4@7thfret  Dm@5th&7th&3rdfrets D  Dm@7th,5th,&

          |______________section1_______________________| |_____section2_>

	>-44-66-| repeat section 2 once, then you go into the verse
	>-00-00-| also, section two of the intro is played
	>-00-00-|	   legato (longer,slower)

             (sl between chord names means slide up the hot neck
              between the chords)
	       Dm@5thfret   D         Dm@3rdfret             Dm@5th fret
	       All that I need is the air that I breathe and all that I
        D             Dm@3rdfret    Dm@5thfret                D
	need are all things I don't need. And all that really matters is
             Dm@3rdfret @5th,@3rd,D
	what matters to me-hee-hee.

	Then (immediately):

	                      . .        .
          B-3~8-88-7-5555-7-5-55-333-3----------->  (hard, quick,short,fast stop
          G-2~7-77-6-4444-6-4-44-222-2----------->   here)
          E-0-0-00-0-0000-0-0-00-000-0       ---->
        And who are you a like me? (Repeat small tab section above once)
	     Dm@5thfret D         Dm@3rdfret  Dm@5thfret
	  If I was to smile and I held out my hand, all the nope I need
        D             Dm@3rdfret Dm@5thfret                    D
	now you would not understand. Cause you know if I'm to benefit I'll do
        Dm@3rdfret     @5th,@3rd,D
	everything that I ca-han.

	Then (immediately): Do the above little middle tab section once
                            and stop quick at the end.

	And who are you a like me?

	Then: Do it again!! HA!HA!HA!HA!HA!!!!!!

	Bridge:  Strumming
		/=  16th note
		/'= staccato 16th note
	       ./ = quarter note

		Em           C  C@3rdfret  C

		 //// /// /// /' ./ //     ///

			Repeat this once and then you go
                        into the second verse rhythm:

			Repeat once (you can play the top three strings
open on this part if you want or you can play only the A and D strings
alternating with a lone Low E string if you want and quickly pick the
rhythm) Do whatever the funk you like, the quick picking way is what they
do on the record. Everyone needs a little KFC.)

	Then: continue this rhythm while you sing the words in the second
section. These words are:

	It'll make you feel good, over my shoulder, it get me up and got
me tied down, till I grew old, ah but feeeel meeeeheeee, like you want me
too, like you never doooo,
	But is it just the pains in your head, that are thrilling me?,
but I'll never smile, like I did that day

	I don't remember the rest of the lyrics off the top of my head,
or the bottom and sides of my head either. But you can get them if you
play the song through your stereo and smile. Thisn guitar part goes till
the end of the song.

thebrooke (report video to admin):
I figured this out originally from memory, so I knew it wasn't quite right. Since this recording I've caught a couple specific places where I'm off. Like that back and forth part after "And who of you are like me" should be G and A bar chords, instead of those weird little chords that don't sound quite right. But I think you can figure it out. :) Brooke (

Strumming the chords is not as helpful as an idea of the melody of the song would be as well.
