EXHILIRATING SADNESS  Saw Doctors

g-7-7-7-42-4-24-4-4-67-7-6-4-2

b------------------------------

e------------------------------

[G]You were sitting in a [C]cafe
at a [Am]table by the [D]juke-box
[G]Making cups of [C]coffee last for [Am]years
[G]You never heard the [C]fanfare
never [Am]saw the sunshine [D]smiling
[C]and the summer slipped in [Am]unnoticed
from beneath your [D]tears
[G]The pounding big bass [C]rhythm
shook [Am]the room, shook your [D]little heart
[G]all the talk that[C]whistled through your[Am]ears
[G]You were minding your own [C]business
but [Am]you were everybody [D]elses
[C]and the summer slipped in [Am]unnoticed
from beneath your [D]tears
[C]Time flew bye
[D]You moved on
[C]The shop street days are [D]long since gone
[C]All of the laughter
[D]and all of the tears
[C]I still see your [Am]likeness through the [D]years
[G]All the girls around [D]you
were [Am]captured by your [D]presence
[G]your lucid features[C] admired and [Am]revered
[G]Deep in your eyes I [C]recognise
[Am]exhilarating [D]sadness
[C]And the summer slipped in [Am]unnoticed
from beneath your [D]tears
[C]Time flew bye
[D]You moved on
[C]The shop street days are [D]long since gone
[C]All of the laughter
[D]and all of the tears
[C]I still see your [Am]likeness through the [D]years

Aloha,

Couple of corrections if I may..

3rd line of Verse;
"Making cups of coffee last for years"
> This should end on a 'D Maj', and for subsequent verses also

The 'Mid Section', a.k.a. 'Break';
Alternates from 'C Maj' to 'G Major' until the last line, not C to D

Maybe a D Maj step-in at the end of the 3rd / beginning of the 4th line in verse.
