I Only Want To Be With You  Dusty Springfield

[A]I don't know what it is that makes me [F#m]love you so
[A]I only know I never want to let [F#m]you go
'Cos [D]you started something [E](oh) can't you see
[A]That ever since we met you've had a [F#m]hold on me
[D]It happens to be [E]true
[D]I only want to [E]be with [A]you
verse 2 (same chords as verse 1)
It doesn't matter where you go or what you do
I want to spend each moment of the day with you
I saw it happen from just one kiss
I never knew that I could be in love like this
It's crazy but it's true
I only want to be with you

Bridge
[Dm]You stopped and smiled at me
[A]Asked me if I cared to dance
[E]I fell into your arms
[B7]I did[E7]n't stand a chance

verse 3 (same chords as verse 1)
I just want to be beside you everywhere
As long as we're together I don't care
'Cos you started something can't you see
That ever since we met you've had a hold on me
No matter what you do
I only want to be with you

Middle 8
same as verse 1 (no vocals)

Bridge - Repeat as above

repeat verse 3

Ending
I said
[D]No matter what you [E]do
[D]I only want to [E]be with [A]you

Chords
Verse
[D]        [E]        [D]        [E/A]
Bridge
[E]        [B7/E7]
This may not be the key used by Dusty Springfield but it's easy enough
to transpose. Also I'm not sure about the words at the begining of line 3 verse 2.
The Tourist did a version about 1980 but there are few
references to this around.
