FIRE & RAIN  James Taylor

Just [D]yesterday morning[C9] they let me know[G] you were gone
Suzan[D]ne the plans th[D]ey made put a[A]n end to you[G]
I wal[D]ked out this morning[C9] and I wrote dow[G]n this song
Just[D] can't remembe[D]r who to sen[A]d it to[G]
Chorus:
O[G]h I[G/F#]'ve se[Em]en f[A]ire[D] and i've seen rain
I[G]'ve [G/F#]seen su[Em]nny [A]day[D]s that I thought would never end
I[G]'ve [G/F#]seen lo[Em]nely[A] ti[D]mes when I could not find a friend
B[C]ut I [C/B]always[Am] though[D]t that I'd see you again
Verse:
Been [D]walking my mind t[C9]o an easy time[G] my back turned toward[D]s the sun
Lord [D]knows when the cold[A] wind blows it'll[G] turn your head around
Well[D] there's hours of t[C9]ime on the telephon[G]e line to talk ab[D]out things to come
Swee[D]t dreams and flying[A] machines in piec[G]es on the ground
Chorus:
O[G]h, [G/F#]I've s[Em]een [A]fir[D]e and I've seen rain
I[G]'ve [G/F#]seen su[Em]nny [A]day[D]s that I thought would never end
I[G]'ve [G/F#]seen lo[Em]nely[A] ti[D]mes when I could not find a friend
B[C]ut I [C/B]always[Am] though[D]t that I'd see you again, baby,[D] one more time again, now
Repeat Chorus:
Thought I'd see you one more time again
There's just a few things coming my way this time around, now
Thought I'd see you, thought I'd see you fire and rain, now

trs (report)

This is played on capo 3. The whole second verse is missing.

The G should be G/E. So actual chords are A, G/E, D, A, E, Gmaj7. Then for "I've seen fire etc." they are D, D/C#, D/F#, D/E and A. This is from a published songbook so 100% correct.

Beezie (report)

This is played on capo 4 or so
