##song. You may only use this file for private study, scholarship, or research. ##Subject: CRD: Perfect Day - Lou Reed#I couldn't believe that this wistful strummy song wasn't at Nevada. So it's#capo. But it's only a semi-tone so why not play it without?#

#Lou Reed#(Capo I)#Intro
[E]   [Am]    [E]   [Am]   [Am]Just a [D]perfect day,
[G]Drink Sangria[C] in the park,
[F]And then later, [Dm]when it gets dark,
We go [E]home.
[Am]Just a [D]perfect day,
[G]Feed animals[C] in the zoo
[F]Then later,[Dm] a movie, too,
And then [E]home.
Oh [A]it's such a [D]perfect day,
I'm [C#m]glad I spent it with [D]you.
[A]Oh such a [E]perfect day,
You just [F#m]keep me [E]hanging [D]on,
You just [F#m]keep me [E]hanging [D]on.
Just a perfect day,
Problems all left alone,
Weekenders on our own.
It's such fun.
Just a perfect day,
You made me forget myself.
I thought I was someone else,
Someone good.
Oh it's such a perfect day,
I'm glad I spent it with you.
Oh such a perfect day,
You just keep me hanging on,
You just keep me hanging on.
[F#m]     [E]   [D]  [F#m]     [E]   [D]  [C#m]    You're going to [G]reap just what you [D]sow,
[C#m]    You're going to [G]reap just what you [D]sow,
[C#m]    You're going to [G]reap just what you [D]sow,
[C#m]    You're going to [G]reap just what you [D]sow,

Of course the run is also up a half-step.

Lou plays it up a half step - so capo on 1st fret. In his acoustic version he does a run while playing the E chord. So on the E string he hits E - F# - G then on A he hits the B note. Sounds pretty. Just listen to the acoustic version of the song and you will get it.

fully agree!!

I think there are some Am left out at the begining of the first lies of some of the verses.
