The D intro thing goes one strum each: D, Dmaj7, D6, Dmaj7....This can also be played between the verses.
The "I'm goimng where..." Em should be Em7 and the following chord should be A, not A7.
And the songwriter was Fred Neil rather than Neil Fred

Hi, great song, thanks for the transcription. In the verse, though, I'm hearing a D6 in the rundown, and an Em before the A7 comes in - no?

This song was done by neilson,and was in the movie midnight cowboy in the 1970s
