The Star Spangled Banner - Jimi "The Dead God" Hendrix
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Tabbed by: wEiRdDeHi

Tuning: Standard (E B G D A E)

Transcribed here is the the legendary Hendrix performance of The Star Spangled Banner, easy version.
I've omitted the whammy bar dives mid way through the song that recreate the sounds
of bombs or fireworks (or what ever you interpret them to be). Enjoy!

[Note: I like to use the whammy bar on the open high E strings where there's an
optional open B string. 'tr' means tremelo. The paranthases don't always mean
an optional note. Sometimes it's used to separate notes.]

On the bend on the 7th fret your bending the note up on the 7th fret. Then without
releasing the bend, you strike the note on the 7th fret and the let the bend down.
The 7 in parenthesis (7) is just showing you the bend comes down. Then you pick
the note on the 5th fret, hammer-on to the 7th, and pull off back to the 5th.

Once again, you start the bend at the 7th fret on the B string and end on the
7th fret after a full bend very slowly (the 7 in parentheses.) I spaced it far
away to emphasize how long it is. On the second bend, it's not as long and is
only a half-bend.

You can repeat this as many times as you want. I usually bar the 12th fret on
both the B and high E string with my index finger. So then, I can hammer on
the 16th fret with my middle finger. But, you don't have to do that or hammer
the 16th fret. You can pluck the high E string twice if you want to.

      						     One-half bend.
