Trees Get Wheeled Away Bright Eyes
[C]Anchormen spike their blood
[G]wear masks of mud
cucumbers cut to [C]fit their eyes [F]
and so no[C] one would know how tired they've grown [G]
of t[C]alking and tellin[G]g their lies [C]
[C]while your tvs change stations
scroll me[G]ssages
victims and christi[C]ans both drinking blood [F]
and they pray for the d[C]estruction of all hatred [G]
more often just those wit[C]h hate for us [G] [C]
ca[C]use it hurts when you discover one's worse and one's bett[G]er.
[C]to suffer or cause others to [F]
[C]and you can live by your conscience
now guil[G]t is a concept
you're no l[C]onger subscrib[G]ing to [C]
there's a virg[F]in in my bed [G]
and she's takin[C]g off her[G] dress [Am]
and i'm[F] not sure what i am gonna[C] do [G]
there's a song [F]stuck in my head [G]
and i can[C]'t help singin[G]g it [Am]
oh ho[F]w i hope my singing plea[C]ses you [G]
cause i am not who I’ve [Am]become
but what you ma[G]de me into [C]
[CGCFC]
oh we got no hea[C]lth insurance
no ce[G]llular service
no di[C]sease they can cure [F]
but we need more money to bur[C]n
so each perso[G]n must learn the dollar amount th[C]ey are [G]worth [C]
[C]
and your pills make me dizzy
forge[G]tting my body
i [C]watch as it walks away [F]
and i just keep drinking[C] the poison
and smo[G]king the cartons
a p[C]ack and a half a[G] day [C]
so when time c[C]omes to claim me
my fri[G]ends and my family will gather around my[C] grave [F]
and they'll belie[C]ve that they knew me and love me and miss me [G]
and all[C] call me by my[G] name [C]
[F]so imagine what you want [G]
and then hold [C]on to that [G]thought [Am]
cause that[F]'s as close as it will ev[C]er come [G]
and be[F]lieve you're where you are and keep act[G]ing out the part [C] [Am]
but at the end o[F]f the end of the day the trees all get wheele[C]d away [G]
and you'll be standin[Am]g alone in a blank blank [G]space [C] [Am]
so b[F]elieve you're who you are [G]
and sta[C]y in char[G]acter [Am]
but at the end o[F]f the play the audience wal[C]ks away [G]
and you'll be shiveri[Am]ng cold on a well lit stage[G]. [C]
That's how I play it. It's the first song I've tabbed, and it's really just chords.
I don't know if this is going to line up correctly, but you get the point. I have it
lined correctly in a microsoft works document if anyone wants it.
