I have mixed feelings regarding his playing,technically speaking he has command of all he surveys on the fretboard not as good as Segovia was but then none are he also has the ego strutting down pat but for me he lacks the expression or call it soul to make me a fan there is no joy in his music for me anyway.

Yes Yngwie is considered a god. Rightly so, he can fo some crazy stuff with a guitar. Baldy, he has done some good stuff. I'm not really "in" to him but I have heard some of his playing that is quite symphonic (if that's a word).

I have no love for Yngwie whatsoever, but that's just me. Yes, he shreds. He can literally play faster than many of us can hear notes. However, find me a passage in this song where he uses dynamics. His arrangement of Bach was a joke. No taste whatsoever....just my opinion though.

The best bar band I ever played with was not composed of great players.
They were great people. Even though I had worked with hot lick artists on most instruments, they lacked the spirit of these mostly ordinary guys. We had so much fun onstage, the crowd got caught up too.
This band could rise to the occasion, play their very best to a crowd of two, inspire each other to play well beyond their assumed limitations when a great showing was needed, lend each other money and lie for each other in court. These guys knew thousands of jokes, drank moderately and would try any tune requested.
We played a roadhouse gig together for two years long ago. We still keep in touch.

Could not have been said any better. The guy is a phenomenal guitarist but he cannot keep anyone in his band. He went through singers faster than Ritchie Blackmoore. I think every singer that left Deep Purple and Rainbow ended up doing vocals for him and then either being fired or quitting.

I think he is very good but I also believe that there are better guitarists out there. That song does show he is more than just speed though.

Well I know nothing about his impersonality, and didn't realize he wasn't holding his guitar until he finished, but there's no denying he can play it, regardless, however I did detect a hint of "Yea I can Play and I know it" from him

I've seen and heard this guy before trawl through U tube guitarist enough as I do you turn up many a decent player some outstanding but mostly unknown to the world.
This guy is lorded by some but he never did much for me to flashy and I never trust a guitarist how can't hold his own guitar.
