I guess a value of one violin doesn't really matter if it's worth a million or not. A sentimental value is important too. And of course, the sound quality that one violin gives is also a factor to know its value.

16 million dollars?????????????? Wow. I wonder if the owner treats that violin the way I treat my cheapo guitars? I don't beat them up, but I don't rub them with a diaper either.

I've got one. In my hands, the sound is terrible. Some reproductions are better than others. Mine is not worth much. $100 to $500 range, depending on who is looking and how much money they have. The value of mine is in the craftsmanship and the quality of wood, not in the fact that it is a Strad reproduction. Those are everywhere.
