It depends on what I'm listening to at the moment. Last week it would have been Hayes Carll, Justin Towne Earl, or Willie Nelson. This week it would be The Dwarves, Guttermouth, or The Clash.

Welcome to Chordie. Guy Clark should be give some sort of crown certainly, though I get the feeling he'd be satisfied with a Crown Royal.

I'm torn between singer-songwriters like Merle Haggard, John Prine or Fred Eaglesmith but would probably settle on listening to Jeff Hartley, a local guy that has written over 200 songs about life here in the Appalachian foothills. I've got 7 CDs that he has given me with over 100 of his songs on them and I never grow tired of listening to them.

i only really listen to music in the car. so i decided (on a long journey) to listen to all my Beatles CD's. it was great hearing all those songs again in order. on another trip i thought i'd listen to all my Yes CD's. then my Jethro Tull one's etc etc. how can anyone listen to just one band/singer for the rest of their life...unless they only had an hour left to live....
