Seems that pain's no stranger to many of us, is it? I'm so sorry, y'all, but at the same time, I am glad we can rest on each other's shoulders for however long we need. I wouldn't trade that for anything. Chordians are the most wonderful people - many of whom have never met.

Bill and Dondra I am sorry for your loss. I do feel your pain as my Son Ricky died three month ago. He would have been 35 in May. He had fought the demons in his head for years. He turned from the Lord and tried to find his happiness thru the lens of alcohol! No amount of rehab that his Mother and I offered helped. It has been 6 or 7 months since I have been on this web site. I feel that something or someone wanted me to come here today.
As one before me stated that every ones relationship with their children are unique. The loss is so great it is hard to put it into words. I am glad for my music and glad I am still part of this group even if i do not get here near enough. I do not know you Bill but i do feel the pain you are feeling. I have no answers just questions??

Thank you, Amy and once again, everyone for your lovely expressions of condolence. We're here, taking care of each other and yes, Roger wishing you lived closer to help us through this, but in the final analysis, it's going to be up to Dondra and myself. Lord, I wish I could have spared her this!

It's heartbreaking to think of you going through this. Jim and I went through the loss of a an infant, and can't begin to imagine losing one of our children who we've come to know as an individual. More so, we can't imagine losing a child that we've raised to adulthood and is expected to have so much time left in this life, such as your son. It's not the way it's supposed to go. None of us are in your shoes, and even if we had been through similar, we wouldn't feel exactly as you. Your love and relationship with your son is unique, and I hope that in between the horrible moments you are able to pull some good memories of that love in. Hold one another up, don't hide feelings from one another. The two of you are the only two that share this as profoundly as you do. Take turns being strong for one another.

There are really no words that can ever make it better, though I hope you know how much you are loved. Please, if there is anything that we can do - tell us and we will try our best to do it!

Our love and thoughts are with you during this very difficult time.

Dear Bill and Dondra,

This news is so sad and tragic. I guess we've all lost parents and or siblings but to lose a child must be the worst. Thankfully it's not a situation I've had to endure but that doesn't mean I don't feel your loss.

Ann also sends her love and prayers to you both. RIP Jason and condolences to you both.
