been out on the road since i don't when.

and i don't recall half the places I've been.
they don't much matter just stops on the road.   
places to pay for the debts that i owed.

but I'm halfway home another day closer but I'm still alone.

the closer i get well the farther it seems.
i thought that home was around the next bend.
but it was some place just like the others I've been.
