I agree, when I come on here to Chordie, it is covered in ads, right in the middle of posts, threads, pretty much everything. I get annoyed having to close them so much, quite frustrating.

Of course - YEAH! -. Just today I found a song ("If I Had A Ship - I'd Sail Away") and was able to transpose it to fit my voice and my arthritic fingers. Internationally popular and immensely useful, it's my favorite musical reference site.

Oh I don't know if there is an FB account what I meant was people seemed to prefer a FB chat as opposed to a Chordie chat. There may be a chordie account I really don't know, I wouldn't use it anyway I don't like the abuse people think they can use freely on there.

I'm with you Joey, it was a great community friendly and supportive until people discovered FB. I don't see the fascination myself. Here I can converse with like minded people whether musicians or just music lovers. I think anyone could write a song and it could be good with a little encouragement and guidance. And like they say...it's good to talk.

Mojo, do you get these "pop-ups" on any other sites? And if anyone else gets them could you also let me know. The reason I ask is that I don't get any ads which would mean that unfortunately your equipment is infected and you need to get a good adblock prog. Maybe Per or Roger could give you better advice hopefully they'll see this post and get in touch.
