Greetings sarah-loves-ceol - and welcome to chordie. If you have some stuff written, go ahead and post it. If you have recordings, they can also be posted to the friendsofchordie page on myspace. This songwriting forum is great fun.

Sorry, but all the original songs should appear 'all purdy like' (just the same as chordie song layouts) - but the website moved to new servers recently and also upgraded the forum software. Unfortunately, there are some translation problems with the new forum trying to read the old files.

Anyway . . . the Mighty Admin will enact a layout fix soon, but in the meantime just read around all annoying coding in the song postings.

Would love to see and hear some of your songs. James

Keith, First I think you are a pretty talented writer, Your stuff appears to have substance to it. I would suggest however not to try and rhyme so perfectly, use a little false rhyme here and there. good luck and keep writing.

Just a quick comment here on diiferent styles of putting things together. I find myself playing a medley over and over in my head for days and then the lyric comes later and starts to fill the song up. The time frame is always different. As I said, sometimes it's weeks but then again I've written two or three songs in one afternoon That seem to be already done ,I just have to write them down. Whatever makes your bag swag I guess>

              STEVE B(JV)

I have been pretty busy lately with work and when not working I have been writing lyrics but no music for them yet. My mind has been doing overtime with lyrics in work too, bits of paper filling my pockets. I think instead of writing lyrics down I will do what an old songwriting friend of mine used to do, wherever he went his small recorder would go wit hhim and he would sing or speak into this device.

I can use my mp3 player for this purpose.

I have been reading all songs getting posted, even if I dont make a comment, some I just have nothing to say about them.

Ken
