Rajani Chordie has no way of storing these patterns it only searches other sites I will look around the net for a link to strumming patterns and post it for you if it is a free service if not I will pass it along in a email for you and you can strum when your not busy looking after the little one smile

Dino its never to late lol ya never know what folks are going to like untill you kick around a few songs and see, this is a new venue for me and I'm experimenting with ideas, there are no effects at all the guitar is a Hohner acoustic electric with silk n steel strings it is un-amped only the microphone on my Kodak camera is picking up the sound from my vocals and the guitar and for some reason it seems to mix both equally I appreciate your comments nice to hear some positive feedback smile

truer words were never spoken,I did find one thing there is a difference in useing a steel slide on my Dobro and a glass slide (much lighter) I can play chords and finger pick while I'm useing the finger slide it creates another blues feel for me but I need to practice more so I can play some nice runs and fills

Hi Rajani welcome to Chordie at present we do not have the strumming patterns included but that is a good idea, Chordie is a search engine we do not host the songs here we find them from other sites and a lot of requests are for strumming patterns perhaps there may be something we can do but this will take a little time and organization if it is possible at all but there may be a way smile

Hi,

I am a new member of Chordie. Your website has an amazing collection of chords for English songs. However, I miss the rhythms ( I mean strumming patterns) of the songs.

Where can I find this?

Thanx,
Rajani

You will need to have a offsite address like flicker or Photobucket and copy the URL and when you post on Chordie use the image tags an example would be
[img]paste your photo here between the brackets[/img] and the photo will appear below smile

and place it on the forum Not just You Tube
You see you have me captured with those words you wrote.
I would love to hear it. Tell you what I will make a Video playing a simple chorus
Then you can all laugh but so what as long as it inspires others.

Pastor I used to have a Youtube account but keeping track of to many websites got to be a little to taxing on my time so I stick with myspace and facebook plus my favorite Chordie, and composing, recording, practice, and my other love Chess is enough to keep me busy (idle hands etc.) smile

Yes he really is I couldn't keep up with his daily schedule I know that on the weekends someone else drives the truck and he loads furniture and other things from estate sales for his auction bussiness,Cosmos de blues is a lot of fun to play it started out with vocals and had over 500 plays when I deleted it and uploaded the instrumental version glad you enjoyed it smile

I may have misunderstood the question it sounded like you were trying to figure out which key for you to sing in but if not the notation on a a music sheet is one # (sharp) for G, two ## D, three ### for A, four #### E, five ##### for B and six ###### for F# but on a sheet of music the sharps are on the lines or spaces of the staff the same for the flat keys but any basic guitar course has this information smile

Pastor some words to a song I wrote "if you get to heaven before I do leave the back door open for me,if they see me coming to them pearly gates they'll lock the door and throw away the key" it kind of sums it all up for me gonna need a little help put in a good word or two smile

I took a short video of a friend I happened to run into today as he was working so I shot a few minutes of what his day is like he also runs his own auction house and is looking for a vintage tele or strat for me (I keep reminding him) we have been friends for over 10 years anyway I thought I would give him a spot on my website because he is a hard working man and deserves a little limelight smile

To be honest no,but I have been playing for over 45 years you can use open chords in the first posistion in the key of G if you use the modulation to A  the Bm chord is the hardest but not really to hard smile

After singing along with it I think most will find it a little hard to reach the notes so here is a transposistion to a lower key G the chords are G C Am D and it modulates to A by way of a E chord first and the chords in A are A D Bm E with a few  A and D sus4th chords that are optional but I use them because they make the song sound better smile

3,197

(29 replies, posted in Song requests)

The song starts in A major the changes are A D Bm and E it modulates to Bb by way of a F first and follows Bb Eb Cm and F I have played along with the video and there are a few sus4th but they are not critical just use the chords given and you should be ok and any further help give a call smile

This may sound over simplified but sing the lowest note you can and then the highest somewhere in between is your vocal range so play any major chord between these and that should give you an idea of the keys you can sing in usually for guys its between C below middle C up to A unless you have had a operation lol
