Wow Neo, you definitely need a `pickle` award or something for the person who enters the most songs! You amaze me at how many you manage to cover, well done once again to you. I thought your guitar work on Pinball Wizard and New York - New York was very good. There was a couple of songs there I havent heard of before such as Rock n Roll and Going to California, so its great to hear new songs
Thanks I've still got a few others I recorded, but haven't put the video together yet ... this month has been a bit busy with loosing my job, the Mother-in-law visiting from overseas, etc ... which is why there was a load a t the end of the month, rather than evenly paced ...

I'm taking more time off work to address needs for my father, so I haven't been around much either. I'm glad I can help him, but I wish that everything weren't so urgent that I have to keep dropping everything and driving a couple hundred miles.
I feel for you - my Father-in-law was very ill for the last few years, and was bed-ridden for the last couple of years of his life, we flew back to Malaysia at short notice about 5 times in the year he passed away, which is a drained exercise to move two adults and two kids each time ... both emotionally and financially. It's never a fun time, so I really do empathize ...

On a completely different note, looks like I am out of time to enter this months songs as we have had a death in the family that is quite close to us, so I will be unable to get something entered before the end of the month, although, I may come back and revisit this months and attempt something later on. Such great songs on the list.
That said, just a heads up that next months FSOTM for March will be a few days late getting up as I will be away due to the family funeral. Will do my best to get it up as quickly as possible on my return.

A couple of strange questions, so please bear with me.
1. Do any of you play with colored guitar strings? I have seen them advertised on Amazon and eBay, but I didn't see a brand name I recognized, such as Ernie Ball or D'addario. So one of my questions is concerning the strength of the strings once the dye is added to color them. They look pretty, but the ones I saw on Amazon were cheap, so maybe the quality is as well.

I've used the DR brand - they seem to be OK and last for a while, but I haven't gigged with them; all these guitars have been stay at home ones ...
2. Second question concerns finger tuning. I tend not to use a pick to pluck my strings, favoring the "warm" sound of my thumb.
I know it must be a matter of style and guitar (Classical Guitar I am thinking of you here) but have any of you played your electrics with just your fingers and is that what "shredding" means
Yes, I play my electrics almost exclusively with my fingers, but tend to use a lighter guage string to compensate for that - apparently this causes issues with low end of the guitar and sustain, but that's just my playing style. I did use a bass speaker with a guitar head for a while, which tended to bring out more mids; best way is to experiment with what you have and play around with settings ... effects can go a long way

I'm still puttin' my money on RAM. Primarily because of the beep codes, and the lack of video output. I actually have one of those Dells sitting on the shop floor right now with a different problem..... but the on-board graphics needs RAM to work, so that was a big clue.
... and you're probably right!!
Sometimes you also need to lower the DPI (dots per inch) to either 72dpi or 96dpi (standard Mac and standard PC) - sometimes downloaded pics can be at 300dpi ...
