ROGER GUPPY  big_smile

Roger ........ lol i certainly did have a jam with my friends wink  Thanks for comments smile

unclejoesband .........  it is isnt it, that is what makes it fun and interesting smile

I realised i had forgotten to post the link for Down On The Corner.

Ok my second song ~Down on The Corner~  is on Sound Cloud.  Again the girls helped me do this cover.  Vocals/ukulele/kazoo by me, friend Belinda on harmonica, my daugher on Nicola on cajon and little wash board.

Had fun .... probably a bit too fast to begin with.

Amy ........... thanks for that and yes it was fun to have the girls join in with this one.  See my comments above to Roger re: that song smile

I have recorded the other song as well which i will upload to sound cloud soon which the girls helped me with too, we did both yesterday when they were here smile

Roger .............  thanks for that generous comment and yes it was great to get the girls to help make this song more interesting and it was fun smile
Belinda is learning the harmonica and doing a great job of it.  I have to say, it was the girls who did well in this recording smile  I  honestly did NOT, the words came out  rushed, I couldn`t quite fit them in with the timing and they were unclear to hear in parts and overall not suited to me ..... it would have been nice to have had more time to rehearse it with the girls ..... maybe next time smile  But the main thing is ...........I had a go at it wink

Nice ............. i would so love to have a big room like that for our musical stuff!  Looking good Beamer smile

Ok here is my attempt at WAGON WHEEL.
I struggled vocally with this song to be honest, it definitely suits a male voice in my opinion .... I probably should have tried it in a different chord. I am also playing guitar on this one and I am re-learning guitar which I haven`t played much in years.  Ok, that is all my excuses over with wink and except to say, we need some females here having ago at these songs too smile
I changed the word  'Momma' to 'Baby for obvious reasons.
I have a friend of mine joining me, she is playing the harmonic and banjo bits.  My daughter is playing the Cajon.

Phill, that was a powerful and emotional song.  It asks the question many people world wide are asking themselves.  As i said on sound cloud, thanks for sharing the heart felt thoughts of  many.

Russell.... that was really good and wow awesome, that would be so much fun to do that each week with a bunch of mates and jam together.   It sounded great smile
Now i am going to show my ignorance again .................
1st question,  the bass player, his base guitar looked like it had a 5th string?
2nd question, how on earth do you all manage to play and sing and remember all the chords, lyrics without reading them?  that must take lots of practice to remember so many songs.

Roger ..... a good take on this cover smile

Your song has touched on all the sad elements of the evil that is happening. You have captured all that unnecessary pain very powerful and very moving.

Phill ........... Ditto to what Peatle said .......... looking forward to hearing it.

Any more attempts at these two songs?  I am going to attempt them myself, just got to get some free time to record them smile

beamer ............THANK YOU very much!! I had a look at the video you did for me and now i understand what you were saying.  I will get my guitar out again tonight after dinner and put your video on again and try to do what you were showing on the video.  That made my day, you going to all that trouble for me to explain the F chord, barring and the B chord.  Made it easy to follow watching it (probably because i am more of a visual person than reading person).  So once again, a BIG THANKS to YOU big_smile

Also i didn`t comment on the you tube video as i dont have an account on there smile

Amy ......I placed feedback on sound cloud for you  and as i said on there, a beautiful song performed and written by you, heart felt and emotionally touching.  It is a song that will touch people, their hearts, their thoughts .......
A question many people wonder about their loved ones when they pass on.   As for me, I believe there definitely is a good and not so good place ( heaven and hell)  and I  believe ALL children make it to heaven smile

If you like the direction it is going Jim, I may even re-record it and hopefully do a better job of it when i don`t have to be quiet and not wake my hubby up smile

Hi Jim  ....................... I had a go at your song  tonight, I love this song.  I have been itching to have a go at this one for a while and finally got a bit of time tonight to record it.  I have just recorded it straight as is, no microphone or reverb as husband was asleep and didn`t think he would take to kindly to me suddenly amping up the household lol smile

I say pick Roger. Put my name in the hat for next month.

lol yep  Roger`s name will be going in the hat and so too will yours smile
Remember people can enter as many times as they want over the following months , whether it is their name or a song (depending on what is happening that month) smile  We want people to keep entering smile

I was KNOCKING around an idea of a song for next month when this show
came ON  tv about subliminal messages and I thought to myself
good HEAVENS that's the song but before I could write it down someone came
to my DOOR and i lost my train of thought
so I'm just going to go along with what ever Roger suggest

Now that was clever lol
