I think all of us with young familys feel the pain as you do..  In my case its too late to play anything except my electric with the headphones on.  yea its fun for a little while, but not as fulfilling as an amp and room ambiance.

I will pretend my coke  has crown in it and that my calizone is a yummy guitar.

I like no, Love my EPI SG, it plays everything, from blues to country to death,,,, I also like the Dean Flying V with a hot rail pick up --- ITS HEAVY ALL THE WAY! and I like a strat, rightly equipped it does 80s metal pretty righteous,, but I would agree that a humbucker in the bridge and the selector on 2nd position is killer

add a long rope so you can pull against the current or at least get pulled to the shore.  We dont wanna hear how you got washed out to sea.   an if weather passes,, maybe do some skype sat night or sunday?  I have not picked up a guitar in a while.  Im not counting the 2 hours of banging out power chords with my headphones on at 2 am. lolo,lolol

You could also just video your lessons  like Russ said and drop box is free up to 2 gigs.  eve if your doing the live tutorials, it would be cool to have it on camera so we would have a video reference.. Cause I can tell ya ill be a day later going "NOw what did he say and where do I do it from?"
