I’d say try them all before buying. Specs look great on paper but the feel and tone can vary even between same models. My D28 didn’t speak to me, but my buddy swears by his.

I’d say maybe try renting some first to see if it makes a big difference. Just make sure you’re careful with levels so nothing gets fried!
