I had almost the same issue on my old Windows 10 laptop. Boot time slowly became awful and at first I thought the hard drive was dying.

What actually helped the most was going through startup apps one by one and disabling everything I did not really need running in the background. I also removed an antivirus that was loading half a dozen services at startup, and that alone made a noticeable difference.

After doing that my boot time went from around 3 minutes to well under 40 seconds, so in my case it turned out to be software bloat more than hardware.

I honestly don’t think there’s a fixed number. For me it’s enough when every guitar I own gives me something different to play or a different sound to enjoy.

Great choice. The LX1E is such a fun little guitar and the sound for the size is amazing. Getting one cheap and in like-new condition makes it even better.

I had almost the exact same experience with a cheap SM58-style copy I picked up as a spare. It definitely had that brighter top end and didn’t handle feedback as gracefully as the real thing, but for guest singers, announcements, or anyone likely to drop it, it was actually perfect. I ended up keeping the genuine mic for my own vocals and using the cheap one as the “hand out” mic at open mic nights, which saved a lot of stress.
