Great thread! I am also a newbie, been taking lessons for a few months, but did some night classes for a year or so. It gets frustrating sometimes, especially when some of my son's friends come over and they are only 12 or 13 and pretty good players. I am 43 and trying my best to find the time to get better at playing. I love music, and am anxious to get better. I have several guitars now, just because they all sound unique and the variety of guitars is awesome. I have a Yamaha LL6 acoustic, an '86 American Strat, and just picked up an Ovation Legend 1617.
