How about people who turn left at a light into a two lane with their left turn signal on and immediately cross both lanes to get to the right hand lane, all the while their left turn signal blinking away.  The book says turn into the nearest lane, look and put signal on, then get into other lane.  I'm not sure what they teach in drivers ed anymore or what the licence manual says, but few people follow it.  Just sayin'.

Im with ya on that one also, espically since I ride a motorcycle.

People who travel in the left lane and dont move! so what if they are going the speed limit,,, MOVE OVER.   The Licence book still says LEFT LANE FOR PASSING, not  ITS YOUR JOB TO IMPEAD THE FLOW OF TRAFFIC.  If I want to risk the ticket,, Let the police decide!  If I were a cop, Idd give tickets to thoes Jack-holes!

OH that feels better LOLOLOL  lol

Had a great time - thanks Astro, Beamer and Zurf.! We missed the rest of you, hope you can join next time!!

Ditto on all the above.  Yep I dont know what happened to the audio.  But it was a great time.  Ill get the kid to sit down and get some bass going for me if we can wing it.  Its football season so Him and his older brother are gonna be pretty worked over. Sat will be all games for 4 hours most Saturdays here soon.

Zurf: Do you think you would have any time for bass lessons to the kid? Im not home in the evenings to get skype all wired in for him, but maybe on a sunday afternoon?  its so hard to find anyone who can teach bass who is not a guitar player faking bass. (I can hit root notes all day LOLOLOL)

You guys were pretty receptive to my acoustic version of the rocker I did.  I hope it was good as I think it sounded.

hopefully it wont be too long b4 we can do it again big_smile

I decided to change the name.  to Beamersfix LOLOLOL

You guys have been tough but as Pete said, you might just be surprised by a few things:

Here is one by a little known band called Garfield (and its by no means heavy)  It took me a coupple listens and then it really soaked in and its a awesome tune.

Well Ok,, it was two weeks ago whilst on vacation. The model and pics are here,  http://www.ovationgallery.com/page12string1115.htm

but this is the write up.

Introduced in 1971, the Ovation Pacemaker 12-String has long been a staple of the Ovation line.  Built on the same deep bowl design as the Balladeer series, the Pacemaker features a 1-7/8 width neck which attaches at the 12th fret.  One of the most distinctive features is the slotted headstock and side tuners.  The Pacemaker gained a reputation as one of the best sounding and easiest playing 12-string guitars on the market.  The model shown below features a walnut bridge, dot MOP inlays and the famous Ovation floral rosette.  The Pacemaker was available in acoustic only (model 1115 shown below) or acoustic electric (model 1615).

It really does play great! The case is in awesome condition and it looks right at home. The sentimental value alone and knowing most of its history makes it that much sweeter to play.

Pete, what is the update?  Are things running smoother?  I forgot to mention in the last post, A great way to speed up is by adding more RAM.  If you have not done it, You have open slots in your desktop/ laptop.  Buy more ram = get faster computer. (oh and do a defrag on your external also,, Defragler will let you choose other drives.  NOTE::: DONT DO "DISK CLEANUP" ON ANY EXTERNAL DRIVE!!!,,, I did this thinking it would work like it did on my C drive,,,,,BIG MISTAKE!. it wipes it clean.  Luckly I had not put too much on  the external at the time

No worries there Pete! LOLOLOLOL As I mentioned,  I dig the obscure stuff.

Thanks Pete LOLOL.
I like the Blues fixes,, but I wanted to show  some other stuff that deserves some light also.  And not the stuff you hear on AOR  or Classic stations.  I like obscure stuff, and the stuff that makes my heart pump! smile

My computer is 6 years old, and had it fully serviced recently - physically cleaned out internally of all the dust and fluff, because apparently it causes the cooling fans to overwork and slows down the processor speed. Also had it virus cleansed - even though I use Norton 360, there were over 500 viruses, worms, bugs, and other nasties sitting in there!! It now works like new, much faster.  well worth the $90 spend.

Dump Norton too,, its worse than McAfee.  The "IT" guys in the Navy 20 yrs ago b4 windows, hated it then! It sucks.
Sorry,, but please do some research and  save yourself a lot of pain and $$$.

This band was regional, but the DJ named Joe Anthony was responsible for SO MANY acts getting a break in the US.  Judas Priest to name one of the biggest.

Birth:     Oct. 9, 1936
Death:     Sep. 12, 1992

Joe was a well known San Antonio, Texas radio DJ. He used his middle name Anthony as his radio last name. Joe Anthony was on San Antonio radio for 5 decades mainly known for his work on San Antonio stations KMAC & KISS. In the 1980's he was nicknamed "The Godfather of Rock n' Roll". Joe's career started in the 1950's playing Rhythm & Blues records on KMAC-AM's "Harlem Serenade". By the 1970's his album rock show was also simulcast on KISS-FM where he was one of the first to feature up and coming Hard Rock and later Heavy Metal bands. Joe along with KMAC/KISS's other main personality Lou Roney helped popularize in San Antonio, South Texas then little known band like Rush, Triumph and Judas Priest just to name a few. Many of these bands credit Joe & Lou and the exposure received on KMAC/KISS to launching their careers. Joe Anthony's memory lives on in the music he brought to San Antonio and making it "The Heavy Metal Capitol Of The World".
Joe's buried at Sunset Memorial Park 1701 Austin Hwy. San Antonio. Section-Lawn Crypt, Lot-block 11, Space-crypt 34

Russell, Word to the wise,, GET RID OF MCAFFEE AS A WHOLE PROTECTION PACKAGE. It will take a lot of digging to get it all out of your computer but its worth the trouble. Avast is rated as best free, but after a while the free version craps out a (IN my experiance).  I may deleat MSE and try it again since its been 3 yrs. Heck I can always deleat it adn put MSE back on  if I dont like it.
I have been using Microsoft security Essentials (Free) for 3 yrs with great luck.  It has a active fire wall and updates very often.  One product I do like from Mcafee is called STINGER. its an on demand tool that is free.  It will often find stuff the full package fails to catch.
