Depending on your taste in music, here are some fairly easy songs I started out with:
The Drugs Don't Work - Verve
Wonderwall - Oasis
Up On The Roof - Carole King
This Boy - The Beatles
Only You - Yazoo
I Don't Like Mondays - Boomtown Rats
Perfect Day - Lou Reed (a bit more difficult-but worth it when you can actually play it!!)
Handbags and Gladrags - Stereophonics
Everybody's Talkin' - Fred Neil
Echo Beach - Martha & the Muffins
Because the Night - Patti Smith (such a great song).
Have Fun!
I was lucky enough to see the Who on the "Who Put the Boot in" UK tour in 1975 (I think) with Keith Moon on drums one of the first concerts I ever went to (I was in my early teens). I'll never forget it, the most amazing stage show I've ever seen. Still remember them doing "Won't Get Fooled Again" ...awesome.
Also saw Queen the year earlier (74) which was my first ever concert, that still stands out.
Other faves are Elvis Costello (in '78), New Order at the Festival Hall in London (around '84) that was brilliant-it was the anniversary of Ian Curtis death and they did four Joy Division songs as an encore). David Bowie Earls Court London '75-has to be one of the best too...aah! memories...
