Further to jerome.oneil's comment you can transpose any three chord song you already know to the key of E. You can then just concentrate on the B chord and not learning a complete new song. You will probably find that the transposition will show B7 but for what you want to do you can substitute B.

Just saw this song you posted and, although I don't know it, I got out the guitar to sing it. I was getting all sentimental as I proceeded but then had do a quick stop to scroll down for the last verse - and very nearly fell of my chair laughing. I have just copied Amazing Grace from your songbook to mine, however the song I recieved was the original version and not your edited version. (I have since deleted it). I did this by double clicking on the song from the green titles list of your songbook (do not click the 'view songbook' tag) to open it and then using the 'ADD to songbook' halfway down on the right hand side of that page. I hope this helps.
I have done this several time before but have never been able to copy the edited version to my song book so I just keep a printed copy of the edited song I want to learn. On thinking about it though it is probably unfair to put a song in my songbook as mine after someone else has done all the work in editing it.

I am out here and although I have not contributed to this thread previously thought I would throw this one in for comment after your request.
Each chord shown is one bar long except the F# & G before the chorus which are only half a bar each.
I am afraid to point out that the song did not win the lady in question's heart, but I tried. I am not sure whether it is my songwriting or wooing technique that need improving - perhaps both.

It is Air Supply performing All Out Of Love and Graham Russell who is left handed is playing a right handed guitar without any modification. There are some close ups of his right hand and as his stringing is effectively in reverse order it is fascinating to watch him play. As he was born in my home town of Nottingham in 1950 when left handed guitars were not available I assume that this was the way he learnt to play.
I am not suggesting that you try to emulate him as left handed guitars are available but I though it might be of interest. <img src="images/smiley_icons/icon_smile.gif" border=0 alt="Smile">

Like you guys I write songs from time to time. My inspiration is ususlly a lady and as you can guess it will probably be a love song.
The problem I find is that friends and family always say they like my work as they don't want to offend. Offering words and tabs on Chordie is no answer as no two people will ever sing the song the same way. So what we need is a new index at the top of the page putting 'My song' between 'My songbook' and 'Resources' where we can upload original songs we have written and recorded and invite constructive comment from others.
This is probably not possible but would be great if it could be done, and who knows maybe some Chordie member could end up with a number one hit.

Unfortunately, as you suspected, my Word songs are not in Chordpro format and the link you gave me will not help. However I have now noted 'bythechord' in my Favorites as I am sure it will be helpful to me in the future.
I am pleased that you liked what I have done in my songbook, there are not many in it at present, but it will grow in time.

Why not transfer the songs you want to My Songbook. You can edit both tabs and lyrics and then print from there easily.
I do not think that that the format that Chordie uses and Word are compatible so it is unlikely that you will be able to do what you want to. I have a large library of songs and tabs in Word that I started years ago and the only way I can add to it is to print it from Chordie and then write the whole song out from scratch in Word. So now I have my own library and my new Chordie Songbook to maintain.
If anyone know an easier way I also would be please to hear.

In the 60's I had a twelve string and I thought that Gerry and the Pacemakers 'Don't Let The Sun Catch You Crying' always sounded fantastic on it. The fullness of sound that the 12 string produces on the Cmaj7 and Fmaj7 cannot be matched with only 6 strings. It may not be the easiest of songs but is well worth the effort. (I have corrected the words and tab and added it to my song book if you want to learn it).

The two obvious reasons that come to mind for strings breaking are incorrect routing causing a kink or trying to tune an octave too high. As your problem might be neither of these ideas, I would suggest that you take it to your local guitar shop and ask them to re-string for you this time. I am sure if you explain your problem they will check if there is a fault with the guitar itself and show you the correct way of restringing a guitar. (After playing for nearly 40 years I only recently found that there is a correct way of fastening strings to the machine heads which helps prevent de-tuning). Sorry I cannot be of more help but it is difficult without having the guitar to hand to be more specific.
After writing a long complicated reply I have just seen an easy one. Look in the A chords for A#. A# is Bb.
I agree whole heartedly with your comments on the peculiarities of Chordie time Ken and James. And after looking at James's photo I can't help thinking that busking must have been hard in bygone days. <img src="images/smiley_icons/icon_lol.gif" border=0 alt="Laughing">
I must second your comments about Chordie and the Chordie forum. I had been using the site for about a year before registering but only to obtain words and tabs for song I wanted to learn. Only very recently have I started taking an interest in the forum and have been impressed with the quality of the queries and answers (my impression of other forums I have visited have been very negative, they seem to be childish and/or smutty). I never though I would be taking part in one but here I am and pleased to be involved. Well done to Chordie and especially to all members who contribute and make it what it is. As a new boy to the forum, I was interested to see the previous writers comments on this subject and thought I would add my view.
I am sure that most of us that use this great site copy songs to their songbook to correct and transpose to their chosen key. Surely it would be far less contoversial if the index could also direct a user to the song in already published songbooks. This way a user could see several versions and choose what he/she finds best instead of having a situation where a song could be changed daily if two or more people had differing opinions on what is right.
