"Wild Night" by Van Morrison is a good one w/ G, C, D, and Em
"Every Rose Has Its Thorn" also basically G, C, D w/ some Em -- easy strum pattern

While we're on the subject of easy blues songs....everyone should feel free to post any info on Jimmy Reed songs. I know they're not that hard to play, but I trust postings more than my ear.

"Love Street" by The Doors is a good one.

Lot of songs by The Kinks "All Day and All of the Night" & "She's Got Everything"

Lotta random 3 chord-ish songs: "Wild Thing", "Louie Louie", "What I Like About You"

Enjoy!!

Good deal. I'm definitely leaning toward Ibanez if & when I ever take the plunge on a bass.

My initial thought was to get a bass amp so I could experiment w/ singing through it, then I'd already have the amp for when I buy a bass...either A/E or just "E".

Wow, thanks for all the info. I was looking at an Ibanez electric bass, but talked to a friend of mine and thought the AE might be the way to go.

While we're on the subject, has anyone ever sang through a bass amp. I'm not a super serious musician, but am curious for any feedback on that, too. Thanks!!

I'm a big Social Distortion fan myself.

Have to also say I also like The Ramones and Green Day. Plus, I just got "London Calling" by The Clash.

I'm sure a lot of people wouldn't label her punk, but I'd check out the Joan Jett songs
"Bad Reputation" and "Love Is All Around" (Mary Tyler Moore theme song.)

I stumbled across this site when I was looking for the tab "She's Got Everything" -- The Romantics have a cool version of the same song.  Cool site if you're into The Kinks.

Thinking about buying an acoustic-electric bass....any thoughts on an affordable, reliable
one to start with? (Or anything to avoid.) Thanks!!

Rhythm guitarist w/ some vocals looking to jam some
Social Distortion and play some open mic nights.  Would like to start acoustic, but am open-minded and have an electric.

I really have varied taste in music, The Beatles, folk, blues,   some classic country but you have to at least be into Social D a little bit.
