I just wanted to add one more artist to my list, I hope I don't get killed for this one but for folk music John Denver has to be pretty high on the list.

Hi arkady,I just watched the performance. I never heard of him before now, but that was some incredable guitar playing.

I agree I would have James Tayler also, along with mason williams, jim croce and joe walsh.

I play an Ibanez ael20e,for an acoustic the sound is great. I'ts a large body guitar that realy fills air when you play. Besides the typical high end(priced)guitars I think this is well worth the mon ey.

Thanks, mabey I didn't ask the question correctly. What I'm talking about is when your finger picking how do you know what base string to pluck with wich chord. (does that make sense)?

Good for you, stick with it. I played a little as a teen and just started playing again two years ago, I'm 41. I wish I would have started in my 30's. The only thing I can say about playing as a teen, and playing as an adult is I am more passionate now then I ever was.

Love the site, and love the thread. I live rite out side of Lancaster Pa. I'm 41 y/o and started playing guitar when I was 13 and picked it up again about 3yrs ago. CHORDIE RULES !!!!!

I,m glad to hear your giving the guitar another shot,I'm sure you'll pick it rite up again. I'm glad to hear your looking at an Ibanez. You dont see that brand on this site to much. I have an Ibanez acoustic- elect. and think its one of the best sounding and user freindly guitars out there. Good luck and keep it up.

I did look into the Esteban guiars when I was upgrading my own starter guitar. It wasn't quite what I was looking for,but for a first owner it seems like a great starter. If you google Esteban guitars you will find alot of Q and A sites that will help answer any questions youmight have.
