There's nothing I like better than the sound of a banjo, unless of course it's the sound of a chicken caught in a vacuum cleaner.

What did the guitarist do when his teacher told him to turn his amplifier on?
He caressed it softly and told it that he loved it.

Aghhhhh! How could I forget Panic at The Disco, my daughter loves them and I want to stick sharp objects in my eyes when I hear them!!!!

All joking aside everyone has a right to their religion, Just try to keep it out of the posts since the only thing hardcore here is music. With all due respect your posts lean on the preaching side. We try to avoid that here.

Have a wonderful day,
Michel

We all have artists that just make up want to leap off a cliff. Now I know that this will start some heated disputes but please remember that these are opinions and should be respected.

On my part I just hate:

Oasis
Celine Dion ..... yes she grew up just a little ways from where I live but I can't stand her
Sean Paul

Mom, Jesus runs around with harlots and when I told you that I lost my virginity all you said was '' Well if you picked up your room maybe you would find something! ''

That's an insult to catholics everywhere

Catholics everywhere will just have to get over it.  It was my sandwich.  I can do what I want with it.

I have Jesus in a zuchinni at home.  I won't tell you what I'm gonna do with that.

Too funny,
I thought that that was the sandwich that Mama Cass choked on.
As an Spiritual person who was raised as a catholic but threw the whole idea of God out the window many years ago I find most catholics just can't take a joke. It's as if humor was one of the cardinal sins. Get over it and don't take yourselves so seriously. Could you imagine the fun Jesus would have had as a child with powers like that! Imagine being his brother.... Hi I'm Chuck brother of Christ and I'm an alcoholic. I could never be as good as Jesus in my mothers eyes, Mom would always compare us. '' While we were at the beach today Jesus walked on water, Then your Dad hit his hand with a hammer at work today and Jesus fixed the broken bones for him when he got home......''

well I guess I'll just sit back now and let the backlash hit me in the head.

For me it's
#1 Dark side of the Moon
# 2 Wish you were Here
# 3 Meddle

These three cover so many different styles. Hard to pick really but this would be the order that I feel is right for me. Dark side of the Moon and Wish You Were Here bring be back to my highschool days, which were great days for me. Meddle brings me back to an era where I was ''experimenting'' alot. LOL Echos still takes me away to a strange but wonderful place in my mind, without any outside help these days of course!

Anything can be played well on an acoustic, it just changes the feel of the song usually for the best. It gives a song a nice homey feeling. Most Zepplin can be played well with an acoustic since their style was influenced by old american blues. Have fun with different songs it's part of becoming a well rounded musician.  Try playing the song in a different style like rock to country or blues to folk. At least it will be good for a laugh!

keep trying as that high E should ring out. You could always play power chords instead but not for all styles.
Good luck

as you said its a movement and lifestyle, also the newwave movement was also starting up with bands such as the Boomtown Rats playing the same venues as the punk bands. Wasn't a good mix but it did influence many artisits of the time.

In england the punk mouvement was tied to the raegae scene. The term Punk was coined by the Sex Pistols when someone called them a bunch of Punks. Lets not forget The Clash, The Dead Kennedys, and in this era, Greenday, Blink 182, The Offspring and many more.

This is a great method for learning and advancing. How about travis picking Beth by Kiss or a blues version of Time after Time? I've been playing for over 25 years and have always done this. I say go for it and enjoy the freedom. Just remember that you can always go back to something close to the original. There are no boundrys in music, have fun!
