i think a bit of both
i can play two types of guitat classic and electric
im taught classic at school but im teaching myself electric
aslong as you know the basics you cant really go wrong after that

i can read both

its just if i read too much tab then i can sometimes get mixed up when its saying to play a C in 5th with your second finger
